RUPALLEY GEORGE / CYCLES ALUMINIUM

C’est avec une machine de 8 kilos construite par l’ingénieur George Ruppaley à Paris, que le coureur Jean-Marie Corre a parcouru les 5000 kilomètres du Tour de la France, et non du Tour de France. Il fabriquait aussi des vélos de piste de 7 kilos, et des tamdems de 13 kilos.
Ci-dessous un témoignage trouvé par un Tonton sur Gallica d’un article de Veloce Sport vantant les mérites de ces constructions lègères en aluminium… dès 1895 !
