CLAES ET FLENTJE / LA FLECHE

Manufacture fondée en 1869 par Ernst Bernhard Claes et Franz Theodor Flentje, production de machines à coudre pour cordonniers, machines à tricoter et vélos sous le nom de marque “Pfeil” (flèche) en français.
Fait faillite en 1932.
Liée à l’histoire de la France et de l’Allemagne, cette manufacture n’a pas été que française. En 1870, les badois occupent Mulhouse. la ville fera ensuite partie, comme l’Alsace et la Moselle, de l’Empire allemand jusqu’en 1918.
